About the Physio
Over the years she has worked within rugby, netball, triathlon and aussie rules football at both amateur and elite level. She is passionate about restoring pain free movement in patients and tackles problems within both joint and muscle systems using techniques such as joint mobilisation, taping, soft tissue mobilisation and specific exercise prescription. Harriet graduated from Oxford Brookes University with a Bachelor in Physiotherapy with Honours in 2008. After graduation she followed her passion of working with sports injuries and moved to Perth, Australia where she undertook further training in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy, from one of Australia’s premier physiotherapy faculties at Curtin University. While living in Australia, she worked as a sports massage therapist at one of Perth’s leading massage clinics for 2 years whilst studying. Following graduation from Curtin she worked at a private physiotherapy clinic in Perth before returning to the UK at the end of 2011. On her return she spent 3 years working in central London as a physiotherapist; treating patients with a wide variety of issues such as sports injuries, gait analysis, pre and post surgery rehabilitation and elderly rehab. To pursue her passion for providing top quality physiotherapy treatment to patients, she set up her own Physio business in January 2015. Initially named Rock Physio, she has changed the name to Holistic Health Physio to incorporate her belief that treatment can often need a multi - directional approach. In 2016 Harriet completed the LJ Lee connect therapy series which will further solidify her belief in whole body assessments and treatments.
Harriet has a passion for women's health physiotherapy and has followed this into providing a service focussed entirely on maximising the potential of the women she treats. She is connecting with women's health practitioners locally in Dorset to be able to provide a multifaceted approach. Harriet provides musculoskeletal physiotherapy for sports injuries but also women's health focussed treatments for women suffering with conditions such as incontinence, prolapse, pelvic pain, painful sex and pelvic floor dysfunction. Harriet works with women postnatally and uses her skills in assessing the whole body to help mums regain their potential postpartum. |
